The Associated Press is seeking an experienced news producer with a strong track record in video storytelling to join our team. We will only consider candidates based in India.

This position will be engaged either as a temporary contract role (ending no later than December 31, 2026) or as a contractor, depending on the selected candidate’s circumstances and employment structure. In all cases, this role will be performed remotely from home.

In this role, you’ll be part of our global video production operation, working closely with output editors and other producers, and collaborating with AP journalists across formats to deliver compelling, high-impact journalism that aligns with AP’s digital-first strategy. Your work will help meet the needs of AP’s customers for speedy, accurate and engaging content and contribute to expanding our digital audience.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Executive Producer for Global Production, you will be a key participant in the production of video content used by AP customers who rely on us to cover stories anywhere in the world. You will:

Edit story elements creatively to produce strong visual narratives for broadcasters and digital audiences.
Exercise excellent news judgment when making editorial decisions.
Write relevant storylines and shot lists with speed and accuracy.
Edit breaking news video from live feeds on deadline. Use social media as a newsgathering tool.
Apply visual verification techniques (familiarity with AP verification tools is a plus).

Required Qualifications:

Advanced-level professional competency in written and spoken English. Professional competency in an additional language is a plus.
Advanced-level professional competency in non-linear video editing.
Authorization to work in India is mandatory.
Superior production and technical editing skills with DaVinci Resolve or a similar program.

Photo Editor (Remote - India) (New Delhi, IN)

The Associated Press seeks experienced, detail-focused photo editors fluent in English to join our Global Photo Desk. You will work directly with the AP’s talented diverse global team of photojournalists to rapidly edit thousands of breaking news, sport and entertainment photos to send to AP’s customers around the globe. You will ensure accuracy and photojournalistic standards while editing and captioning photos at speed. You will be joining a team undergoing an exciting period of growth and change, expanding coverage that spans the globe, 24/7. This is being offered on a contract basis for two years. This job posting is for remote work, but candidates must be willing to work on a hybrid basis in-office if required.

Responsibilities: Reporting to the assistant director of photography you will ensure that photos from news, sports and entertainment worldwide are published quickly and presented flawlessly. You will be part of a dynamic operation that works closely with photo staff worldwide to ensure the AP’s photo report is accurate, fast and distinctive for audiences around the world.

For this role, you will:

Rapidly view thousands of photos coming from AP’s network of photographers and photo partners around the world to choose and crop the key news storytelling moments to send to AP’s global customers.
Possess a keen artistic eye, capable of choosing photos for impactful storytelling while ensuring authenticity and aligning to AP’s standards for integrity and objectivity.

You will have strong news and photo judgement and a love for breaking news and current affairs. We are looking for candidates with strong knowledge of U.S. and global news, politics, and sports. You can work swiftly and accurately on sensitive stories under tight deadlines. You are someone who is calm under pressure and can work collaboratively to ensure speed and high standards on a global photo editing team. Experience of Capture One is preferred but not essential.

The Product Manager, Growth & Lifecycle is a key role within the Consumer Product & Technology organization, responsible for executing AP News’ growth product strategy and driving measurable improvements in conversion, engagement, and retention.

This role sits within the Data Products team and focuses on optimizing how users progress through the funnel, from anonymous visitors to engaged users to registered users to donors and recurring supporters. It owns product definition, prioritization, and performance across lifecycle experiences, ensuring that AP’s growth initiatives are data-driven, user-centric, and aligned to business outcomes.

The Product Manager will work closely with peers in Product as well as Engineering, Design, Data & Analytics, Audience Development, Editorial, and Revenue teams to ship high-impact features and experiments that improve user progression and lifecycle outcomes.

What You’ll Do:

Own the day-to-day execution of growth and lifecycle product initiatives, continuously optimizing conversion flows and user journeys across the funnel. You will lead efforts across registration and identity capture, donation experiences and checkout optimization, acquisition and onboarding flows, and lifecycle progression and retention. The Associated Press is seeking a Labor Relations Specialist to support labor relations across its global business.

About the Role: This role is primarily focused on labor relations in the United States, including administration of collective bargaining agreements and support for union negotiations, with scope to support broader global labor and employee relations activities as needed.

You will work across time zones to ensure consistent and effective labor relations practices.

This is a temporary position designed to support labor activity by helping to build a more proactive, collaborative approach to union engagement. The assignment is expected to last approximately 18 - 24 months, with the possibility of extension based on business needs.

Reporting to the Director HRBP, this role will support grievance management, contract administration, and preparation for collective bargaining efforts.
