About the Role

As a Product Analyst, you will help shape how AP News uses data to improve its digital products and user experience. You will analyze how users discover, navigate and engage across web and app experiences, and turn those findings into clear, actionable recommendations that inform product strategy, experimentation and long-term growth. What You'll Do:

Generate Product and User Insights

Design and build repeatable analyses and dashboards using BigQuery, Looker Enterprise and Hex to surface patterns in user behavior, feature adoption, engagement and conversion across APNews.com and the AP app

Analyze user journeys, funnels and retention trends to identify opportunities to improve engagement, loyalty and product performance

Support tracking implementation in Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager to ensure the right data is captured to answer critical product and business questions

Translate Data Into Strategic Recommendations

Translate complex product and user data into clear recommendations that inform product roadmaps, business priorities and monetization decisions

Partner Across the Organization

Who You Are:

3+ years of professional experience in digital product analytics, growth analytics, user analytics or a related analytical role
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (Communications, Journalism, Statistics, Data Science, Marketing) or equivalent experience in product analytics

Strong command of SQL and working knowledge of Python or R for querying large datasets, identifying trends and building repeatable analyses

Hands-on experience with analytics and visualization tools such as BigQuery, Hex and Looker Enterprise

Experience with Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager, including event tracking and measurement strategy

The AP is expanding the team responsible for driving growth of the AP Intelligence Partner Ecosystem. We are seeking a collaborative, revenue minded Solutions Engineer to join our team. Reporting to Product Leadership for AP Intelligence, this role will identify high-value opportunities across the data ecosystem, develop and validate technical solutions, and lead their implementation with customers, ensuring AP Intelligence delivers meaningful real-world outcomes.

What you will do:

Partnership Development & Commercial Solutioning

- Proactively identify and evaluate new partnership and customer opportunities across data marketplaces, AI infrastructure providers, and enterprise platforms––assessing strategic fit, technical architecture, and commercial potential

- Lead technical discovery, solution scoping and POC engagements alongside product and sales teams, providing technical expertise, outlining the value proposition, and answering product, API, and LLM-related questions. Demonstrate how leveraging AP Intelligence’s APIs combined with data marketplace technology can meet customers’ business needs and deliver substantial business value. This includes developing and scoping customer use cases, building and presenting representative demos that demonstrate the value of AP Intelligence, and communicating the technical detail and value to the customer.

- Develop and nurture strong customer relationships during the evaluation, validation, and purchasing process.

- Evaluate customer environments and advise on integrations directly with AP APIs and across various types of cloud-based data platforms (including Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, GCP, and more).

- Own technical responses in RFPs, security reviews and due diligence

- Support customer security and compliance reviews in partnership with internal teams

- Explain standardized collateral, guiding partners and customers toward relevant resources, and escalating complex requirements to the appropriate teams.

Integration & Onboarding

- Lead technical onboarding, ensuring clean integrations from day one

- Coordinate access provisioning, licensing terms and data delivery workflows with Technology, Product and Legal teams

Who you are:

Technical Support Specialist (Rome, IT)

The AP Global Technical Support team provides 24x7 support for all global products and services for AP’s staff and external clients. Technical Support Specialists assist with any technical problems reported by staff and external clients via email/cases, phone, and live chats. This is a hybrid role with an in-office requirement Tuesday through Thursday each week.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist external clients with APIs setups
Assist and support Elections setup and applications
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Azure, Intune, SCCM and other tools used for deployment and management of AP hardware and back‐office applications

Provide support during Special events (optional)

Responsibilities: Reporting to the Washington investigations editor, you will seek out distinct, "Only on AP" journalism in all media formats. You will think creatively about how best to tell stories on mobile, digital and social media platforms, including how to integrate data used in investigations into a story’s ultimate presentation.

We're looking for someone who will:

Initiate investigations focused on government and corporate accountability and/or national security matters.
Know how to use public records laws and have a network of sources around the nation’s capital. You can tap into the city’s legion of lobbyists and lawyers who wield power behind the scenes.
Have a great news sense, with a high metabolism and a hunger for scoops.
Be able to turn around deep journalism in a couple of days while making progress on months-long projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience as a beat reporter or investigative reporter in Washington is a plus.

The Associated Press is seeking a talented, enthusiastic reporter and proven self-starter to cover the rich and distinct experience of the more than 64 million people who make up the United States’ Hispanic and Latino communities, the nation’s largest racial and ethnic minority. This is a temporary staff position (18 months) covered by AP’s agreement with the News Media Guild.

Responsibilities:

In this role, you should be comfortable writing about all facets of Latino life, from politics to arts and culture. You should be ready to respond to breaking news or to spot trends, and you should also be able to think non-traditionally about the beat and beyond common themes like immigration and the border.

While your primary assignment will be covering Latino affairs, you will also be an integral part of The Associated Press’ Race & Ethnicity team and be expected to contribute generally to the work.

This reporter should currently be based in or willing to relocate to New York City. Travel will also be part of the role.
