We are seeking a highly motivated and personable Recruitment Manager to lead our recruitment efforts. In this role, you will design strategies to attract talent and develop ways to improve efficiency in the hiring process for the entire company.


This position will be responsible for building a strong employer brand to attract the right candidates, proactively build applicant pipelines to meet current and future business needs, as well as strategically source potential hires from diverse backgrounds.


This position reports to the VP, Human Resources and will be based at AP headquarters in New York, NY.


Key responsibilities:

  • Partner with hiring managers to develop and implement effective recruitment strategies based on the organization’s needs and industry best practices
  • Assess trends and leverages knowledge, data, and competitive intelligence to develop creative, customized sourcing strategies. Effectively navigates and determines alternative options for challenging situations/positions.
  • Develop and foster relationships with search firms to develop effective and efficient sourcing pipeline
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions (job requirements, qualifications, and skills) and establish hiring criteria for each position
  • Establish Diversity, Equity and Inclusion recruitment best practices with effective approaches to attract, recruit, select, and hire
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to screen candidate resumes and select qualified candidates
  • Partner with hiring teams to coordinate and schedule interviews; oversee the preparation of interviews and other hiring and selection materials and processes to foster a positive candidate experience
  • Partner with hiring managers and the HR Managers during the candidate employment offer process, providing position salary range details, potential start dates, and other pertinent information
  • Facilitate employee onboarding, offboarding procedures and any additional functions that follow the employee lifecycle
  • Create and suggest new and effective interviewing procedures and techniques for a consistent candidate experience



  • 5+ years of experience in recruiting for a multinational company
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Experience recruiting for a variety of roles across different departments; preferably Technology, Finance, Editorial, Sales and Marketing.
  • In-depth knowledge and demonstrable experience of creating recruiting strategies
  • Ability to use business acumen to translate the business and talent strategies into operational approaches
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to build trust, influence, liaise with, and advise the business and HR team
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity and defining direction and solutions in a fast paced constantly evolving environment
  • Experience with SuccessFactors a plus


Advanced-level professional competency in written and spoken English language is required.  Authorization to work in the US for any employer is mandatory.


The anticipated salary range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000, plus 15% bonus eligibility contingent on experience and other job-related factors.  Employees are eligible to participate, according to the terms of the official plan documents, in a 401(k) plan, employer-sponsored health insurance plan, and are eligible for paid time off and holidays in accordance with AP policy.
