As the Associated Press expands its digital direct advertising and content marketing sales efforts, AP seeks a highly creative, detail-oriented, and strategic Integrated Marketing Manager to join the AP Content Services team, based in its New York headquarters. 

 

The ideal candidate is motivated, passionate about the news industry, and possesses a variety of skill sets to join our global team. This role will have immediate hands-on responsibility for our go-to-market client-facing communications, pitches, and proposals. The ideal candidate has a strong knowledge of digital advertising campaign sales and marketing, including sponsorships, display, video, native solutions, branded content, and social media. To be considered, you must be motivated, independent, and able to manage multiple projects at a time in a fast-paced environment.

 

To succeed in this role, you must be a creative thinker who will drive revenue growth as part of the team that is developing branded content and advertising solutions that uniquely deliver on brands’ objectives. 
 

Key Responsibilities
•    Bring together both product and integrated marketing skills to develop and articulate brand and product narratives to help educate agencies and clients about the AP Content Services’ vast array of client-facing opportunities
•    Independently design, write and edit custom and standard proposals, marketing sheets, and other sales materials in PowerPoint, InDesign, and Microsoft Word
•    Create reporting and analysis to support AP’s sales efforts, demonstrate the value of our audience and show the effectiveness of our advertising programs
•    Contribute to in-bound RFPs, priority client programs, and business-wide sales growth initiatives
•    Participate in client-facing sales calls when needed
•    Maintain a pulse on the media, advertising, and content marketing industries, understanding key trends, as well as the needs and wants of the buying community
•    Identify gaps in our go-to-market strategy and proactively propose and implement new marketing strategies to fill in those gaps
•    Work closely with sales teams on how to communicate our market positioning and value proposition
•    Proactively analyze our marketing positioning as it relates to actual sales results and campaign effectiveness. Recommend strategies for outreach and positioning that are informed by those results.
•    Compile additional reports, data, analysis, and research for pitch purposes and in response to client requests

 

Qualifications
•    B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent
•    5+ years of relevant work experience in marketing at a publisher or agency including experience marketing B2B and advertising products 
•    Excellent oral and written communication skills with precise attention to detail
•    Ability to prioritize, manage time and juggle multiple priorities to execute high-quality deliverables in a fast-paced, constantly evolving, dynamic environment
•    Ability to work autonomously with high levels of integrity and self-motivation
•    Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Word is required
•    Able to think creatively in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and deadlines
•    Excellent interpersonal skills for communication and collaboration across multiple departments and levels of management
•    Visual storyteller and exceptional user of PowerPoint
•    Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) 
•    Must be highly motivated, independent, and detail-oriented
•    Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and within deadlines
•    Possesses the ability to strategize and offer creative solutions to grow revenue and provide the optimal client experience
•    Experience working across formats including display, video, branded content, and native advertising for desktop, mobile web, in-app, and newsletter
•    Knowledge of the programmatic landscape, as well as PMP and programmatic guaranteed deals is a plus
•    Fluency in AP Style is preferred
