AP Content Services is seeking an Integrated Marketing Manager to join AP on the ground floor as we revitalize and expand our B2C effort, building on AP’s reputation, reach and high-quality content to bring unique advertising opportunities direct to the market. This position will elevate the AP brand by creating marketing materials that clearly communicate our mission, values and best-in-class offerings.  This position will report to the Director, Ad Solutions.

 

This role will have immediate hands-on responsibility for designing our go-to-market client-facing communications, pitch decks and proposals. The ideal candidate has strong graphic design abilities, with writing experience a major advantage for success.  Knowledge of digital advertising campaign sales and marketing, including sponsorships, display, video, native solutions, branded content and social media is needed.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, create and author client-facing materials for the advertising and content marketing business, utilizing PowerPoint, InDesign and Microsoft Word.
  • Develop and articulate pre-sale and post-sale narratives to help educate agencies and clients about AP Content Services’ vast array of client-facing opportunities.
  • Maintain a pulse on the media, advertising, and content marketing industries, following and understanding key trends, as well as advertiser goals and KPIs. Translateknowledge of advertising and media trends to the design and drafting of sales materials.
  • Work across teams (e.g., Ad Ops, Sales, Marketing and Product) to visually communicate our market positioning and value proposition.
  • Evaluate existing sales and marketing materials and identify areas for improvement and new opportunities.
  • Become an expert in AP’s brand identity & design guidelines. Apply that knowledge to marketing materials that are consistent, clear and compelling.

 

Qualifications

  • B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in marketing at a publisher or advertising agency, including experience marketing advertising products.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with precise attention to detail.
  • Fluency in AP Style is preferred.
  • Ability to work autonomously with high levels of integrity and self-motivation. •    Ability to prioritize, manage time and juggle multiple priorities to execute high-qualitydeliverables in a fast-paced, constantly evolving, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in Outlook and Microsoft Word is required.
  • Visual storyteller and exceptional user of PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop) is required.
  • Able to think creatively in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for communication and collaboration across multiple departments and levels of management.
  • Possesses the ability to strategize and offer creative solutions to grow revenue and provide the optimal client experience.
  • Experience working across formats including display, video, branded content, and native advertising for desktop, mobile web, in-app, and newsletter is preferred.
