Job summary


The Sales Manager, Europe will build on the success of ENPS news production and Playbook editorial planning software and develop AP’s expanding ENPS/Playbook business in EMEA. 


  • Work with Sales and Account Management colleagues to further develop existing customers and identify new business.
  • Growing new customer base, increase the proportion of revenue which is from cloud-based SAAS solutions.
  • Liaise with product management and support teams, both to channel development requests and to troubleshoot customer questions.


The successful candidate may be based in Czech, Hungary, UK, Germany, Sweden or Denmark and will report to the Director International Business Development, EMEA/APAC.



Main areas of responsibility


  • Sell SAAS cloud-based editorial systems initially to the news sector, primarily in Central Europe
  • Develop business opportunities with online publishers, broadcasters, news agencies and other organisations managing news output (sports or finance information networks, social networks, associations, aggregators)
  • Manage existing news solutions customer base, developing opportunities for cross-selling solutions and related products
  • Develop sales activity into non-news sectors
  • Present features and benefits of growing suite of cloud-based storytelling tools to prospective customers and feedback market requirements to Product Management group.
  • Coordinate with Support Manager to ensure prompt and professional services are delivered to the customer in line with SAAS agreement SLAs.
  • Liaise with Marketing, Finance, Collections, Technology, Legal teams as required.
  • Use SalesForce to report prospecting and manage the more detailed dialogue with engaged prospects through to close.


Person Specification

Fluency in English, written and spoken is a requirement.


The ideal candidate will have some of the following:

  • Degree educated or equivalent
  • Experience of successful SAAS sales strategies either in a sales role directly or with compelling exposure to a range of sales and marketing activity
  • Background in news, online publishing, media
  • Network of contacts with System Integrators and partners companies
  • Ability to Work to meet sales targets and KPIs
  • Motivation to constantly make new contacts through all available social channels
  • Fluency in more than one European language
  • Residency or equivalent status to work in territories stipulated
