Opportunity: We are seeking an engaging, creative and collaborative Employee Experience Coordinator to enhance the overall employee journey at AP. This role will collaborate across the organization to develop and implement initiatives that foster a positive, inclusive and high-performing workplace where employees feel valued, connected to AP and able to do their best work. The ideal candidate will have a passion for improving employee experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to drive meaningful change.  

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Plan, gather and analyze employee feedback through surveys, focus groups and other methods to identify opportunities. 

  • Contribute to AP’s onboarding and welcoming programs, including leading live sessions, developing resources, surveying new employees at the 30-, 60- and 90-day mark, and piloting creative ways for global employees to learn about AP and connect with colleagues.   

  • Collaborate with the people team and our internal communications team to plan and manage internal communication strategies related to employee experience, including developing campaigns to celebrate success and commemorate key dates and events, across global regions and time zones. 

  • Work with the talent and marketing teams to enhance AP’s employer brand by ensuring alignment with company culture and values, both internally and externally. 

  • Collaborate with the people team and cross-functional teams to implement employee-centered initiatives that are tied to AP’s mission and priorities.  

  • Act as a resource for employees, listening to concerns and ideas and developing forward-thinking solutions.  

  • Develop an efficient process to gather and analyze feedback from departing employees, and use the aggregate data to inform future initiatives and areas of focus. 

  • Keep up with industry trends and best practices to continuously evolve AP’s employee experience initiatives. 

 

Qualifications and Skills: 

  • Commitment to AP’s mission and fostering an inclusive workplace. 

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage global audiences. 

  • Strong analytical skills to assess employee feedback and translate insights into actionable strategies. 

  • Experience using a survey tool; SurveyMonkey or Microsoft Forms preferred. 

  • Ability to manage conflict and handle sensitive employee information with discretion and professionalism. 

  • Creative and proactive approach to problem-solving and program development. 

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. 

  • Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders across departments and functions. 

  • 1-3 years of experience in employee engagement, human resources, internal communications or a related role (internships and academic projects considered).

Salary & Benefits: The anticipated salary range for this position is $66,000 - $73,000, contingent on experience and other job-related factors. The Associated Press offers comprehensive benefits which include:
